About AAU

Established in 1969 under the Assam Agricultural University Act, AAU is the first institution of its kind in the entire North-Eastern region of India. Headquartered in Borbheta, Jorhat, with a major veterinary campus in Khanapara, Guwahati, the university has been instrumental in revolutionizing the agricultural landscape, boosting crop production, and advancing veterinary care in Assam and beyond.
