About Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University

Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) was established in 2005 through an Act of the Andhra Pradesh Legislature, with its headquarters in the holy city of Tirupati. The university's journey began with the College of Veterinary Science, which was established in Bapatla in 1955 and later shifted to Tirupati in 1957. From a modest beginning with one college and six departments, SVVU has grown into a premier institution with three faculties - Veterinary Science, Fishery Science, and Dairy Science - comprising 38 constituent institutions and research stations spread across the state.

The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across its constituent colleges.

B.Tech (Dairy Technology) requires AP EAPCET, while postgraduate programs require ICAR-AIEEA(PG) or equivalent scores . For Ph.D. programmes, ICAR-AICE-JRF/SRF scores are considered.
