Founded on 24 June 1970, Manohar Memorial PG College stands as a poignant tribute to the memory of Manohar Batra, the only son of Late Mehta Khem Raj Ji Batra, who was taken away by destiny at the tender age of twenty-one. The college owes its emergence to the divine inspiration of Late Swami Gita Nand Ji Maharaj, who counselled the bereaved father to establish an institution of higher learning in his son's name. Located on a sprawling 20-acre campus on Ratia Road in Fatehabad, the college was approved by Panjab University, Chandigarh, and later affiliated with Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. It is presently affiliated to Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa.
The college began its journey with the Arts Faculty in 1970, followed by the addition of the Commerce Faculty in 1972. Over the years, it has grown into a multi-faculty co-educational institution offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
