About Dispur Law College

Dispur Law College was established in 1993 and initially functioned from the building of Gopal Boro Government Higher Secondary School in Dispur. On 9 March 1995, the foundation stone of the college's own building was laid by the then Chief Minister of Assam, Karmashri Late Hiteswar Saikia. The college was constructed with the support of Smti Madhuri Das, wife of Late Dharmananda Das, I.A.S. (Retd), who served as Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam.

The college is permanently affiliated to Gauhati University and recognized by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. Located at Dharmananda Das Avenue in Dispur, Guwahati, the institution offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in law. With a student enrollment of 548 and a dedicated faculty of 15, Dispur Law College provides a focused and supportive learning environment for aspiring legal professionals.
