Established in 1962, A.S.D. Government Degree College for Women is a prestigious institution located in Kakinada, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. The college was founded by the Women's Education Society of Kakinada with the inspiring motto 'Sthree Vidya Pravardhataam' – 'Women Education Shall Prosper'.
The college was transferred to Annavaram Devasthanam Trust in 1963 and taken over by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 1968. Recognized by UGC under sections 2(f) and 12B in 1972, the college was granted Autonomous Status in 2015-16, which has been extended till 2025-2026.
Affiliated to Adikavi Nannaya University and reaccredited with NAAC B++ Grade, the college spans 7.16 acres and offers 16 UG Honours programmes and 3 PG programmes, with a student strength of over 1000.
